Patent Attorney Position: Fast Track to Partnership

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Patent Attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in patent prosecution and a portable book of business. A fast track to partnership is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and train new patent agents
• Manage a small team of experienced patent agents
• Prepare and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO
• Represent clients in patent litigation and other intellectual property disputes
• Draft and negotiate intellectual property agreements, such as licenses
• Counsel clients on all aspects of intellectual property law
• Participate in business development activities
• Develop and maintain client relationships

Required Qualifications

• Ability to lead a small team
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• 5+ years of experience in patent law
• Admitted to practice in at least one state
• Registered to practice before the USPTO
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Portable book of business is highly desirable
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a team
• Technical background in electrical, mechanical, or software engineering
