Compensation and Hours

Salary Range

• $250,000 to $325,000 (2000 billable hour goal)
• $215,000 to $270,000 (1900 billable hour goal)

Flexible Hours Program

• Selectable billable hour goals: 1400 to 1900 hours
• Salary adjusted based on chosen goal

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patent searches and analysis
• Review and understand technological advances
• Prepare and file patent applications (USPTO and international)
• Contribute to IP and patent portfolio management

Qualifications and Requirements

Education and Licensing

• JD with active US attorney license
• Eligible for DC Bar waiver or exam
• Masters or PhD preferred in relevant scientific disciplines

Experience

• 3-5 years of patent prosecution experience
• USPTO registration number preferred
• Strong IP and patent law foundation
• Previous wet lab experience preferred

Skills

• Clear communication of legal concepts
• Stellar academic credentials
