Key Responsibilities

• Manage a robust patent prosecution docket, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications
• Conduct prior art searches and patentability assessments
• Analyze office actions and formulate responses to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
• Collaborate with inventors, clients, and firm attorneys in the preparation of patent applications
• Provide strategic advice on patent portfolio management and IP strategies
• Conduct intellectual property due diligence in support of mergers, acquisitions, and licensing agreements
• Stay updated on developments in patent law and regulations

Qualifications and Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the bar and in good standing in at least one state
• Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
• 1-7 years of experience in patent prosecution, preferably with a focus on electrical engineering or related fields
• Strong technical background with a deep understanding of patent law and procedures
• Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume workload effectively
