Job Overview

We are seeking an attorney/agent/technical specialist to join our patent prosecution team. The position offers:

• Remote work option
• Office locations in Royal Oak, MI or Los Angeles, CA

Primary Responsibilities

The role involves:

• Patent drafting and prosecution
• Opportunity for reexaminations, opinions, and due diligence work
• Team-based portfolio development for firm clients

Specific Tasks

• Preparation and prosecution of domestic and international patent applications
• Review of complicated technical inventions
• Evaluation of patent portfolios
• Development of patent strategies

Candidate Requirements

Education and Experience

• Strong background in electrical engineering or computer engineering
• Minimum 2 years of patent law experience
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering or computer science
• Plus: Advanced degree in referenced fields
• Plus: Experience with Artificial Intelligence related inventions

Professional Qualifications

• Attorneys/agents must be registered
• Technical specialists must be patent bar eligible
